Megan spent the early part of her career developing award-winning interactive strategies and managing web site development. Seeking  challenges of a less virtual nature, she went back to school to pursue a degree in Interior Design.

The Good Stuff

Megan brings a knack for creative problem-solving and a focus on the user experience from her previous career to her work at Aidan Design.  As a Design Associate Megan works closely with Nadia and clients on design and finish selections.  She is also very involved in product selection for all the new lighting seen in the showroom.  In addition, she puts her former Interactive expertise to use by assisting with social media efforts.

Megan loves to travel and when she’s not focused on aesthetics, she’s dreaming of faraway places and planning her next trip.

With over 15 years of experience specializing in custom kitchen design, Nadia’s passion for design and client rapport has garnered Aidan Design a reputation for thoughtful design, quality products and dedicated customer service.

For Nadia, “form always follows function’ and is her guiding inspiration in all her designs.  A living space that reflects the character and lifestyle of each client, organized and balanced to achieve greatest efficiency and creativity, is the signature of Aidan’s designs.

Aidan celebrated their 10th anniversary in the fall of 2011 by donating a kitchenette and art space for the children of Martha’s Table and officially launching a lighting division.    A new add to Nadia’s resume is the position of Adjunct Professor at George Washington University.  Nadia enjoys teaching design concepts and the essentials of residential design to undergraduates students.

When not working, Nadia enjoys her time creating with her two girls, meal planning with her husband, John and strategizing about how to make that next big trip.

The Good Stuff

John applies his technical expertise in computers and construction to ensure that the transition from design to installation of each project goes smoothly. He produces CAD drawings for installations and oversees their application on the job-site working closely with the project manager. John remains available to clients and contractors for minor trouble shooting and technical support.

John is also the attentive father of two young daughters who are fast becoming fluent in French thanks to their dad. John’s favorite moments are spent whipping up gourmet meals for his girls, including his active wife and Aidan co-owner, Nadia.

Aidan’s first and in many ways “most valuable” employee, Miguel has created many of its systems and manages everything that happens behind the scenes at Aidan Design. He handles Aidan’s bookkeeping, accounting and administrative tasks. Miguel processes finish orders, tracks shipping and coordinates deliveries to ensure that all elements come together in the most seamless and timely fashion. Miquel’s love of the outdoors has extended to landscape photography, which reveals the artist within. When not behind the lens, you can find him at the golf course.

Sadie meets and greets all of our walk in customers and conducts tours for those clients interested in learning more about Aidan. Sadie also has the important task of closing out all of our jobs to make sure on the financial end we are indeed checked and balanced. Sadie comes with more years experience than she cares to mention having worked in the international environment as a procurement specialist on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defense. She received the distinguished award of MBE from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. When not involved in engaging debates, coloring or block building with her grand-daughters, Sadie can be found volleying on the tennis court or avidly watching a match on the telly.

Angelika brings to Aidan Design a unique mixture of skills that help her master the various tasks of project management. First and foremost her attention to detail is critical in drafting projects, verifying dimensions and checking appliances and product specifications. One of Angelika’s primary roles at Aidan is order processing. Additionally, she tackles smaller design projects. Angelika’s enthusiasm for learning is not just limited to her studies, but in widening her horizon in all aspects of the industry. When time permits, Angelika loves reading and traveling.

Richard’s extensive experience as a residential appraiser gives him a keen insight into the residential world from a buying and selling vantage point. He hopes to expand Aidan’s horizon by making it’s design services and products available to all builders looking for real quality and a commitment to service.

It’s a toss up between playing sports and practicing Pencak Silat, an Indonesian style of Martial Arts as to how Richard enjoys his free time the most.

Marketing management and support in law firm and IT consulting businesses; owned and managed a number of child-care related businesses; practiced nursing and midwifery in the UK and Bermuda.

The Good Stuff

The newest addition to Aidan, Hilda’s charge is to manage the firm’s social media initiatives and organize specialized seminars for Aidan and its clients. Drawing on her broad small business management and midwifery backgrounds, she is well-suited to advancing the firm and its client projects — from conception to delivery! Hilda also spent many decades playing field hockey, and still hankers to perhaps pick up that stick again
