The homeowners wanted to bring personality and function to a dated kitchen that didn’t reflect their style and to convert the original dining room into a cozy cocktail lounge. They envisioned spaces that worked as beautifully as they looked, connecting the home’s traditional front with its modern addition.

Working closely with the clients, we balanced warmth and refinement through rich stained cabinetry, light surfaces, and a cohesive palette that flows naturally between old and new. The design introduced a second sink and reimagined storage to make entertaining easier and daily life more comfortable.

In the final design, a moody lounge with tall built-ins and mesh inserts extends the kitchen’s palette and creates a sense of intimacy and sophistication. The combination of thoughtful finishes, layered textures, and collaborative decisions resulted in spaces that feel both personal and enduring.
