The homeowners wanted to create a stronger flow between the original part of their home and a newer addition. They hoped for more countertop space, better storage, and a design that connected old and new without feeling disjointed.

We reimagined the entire footprint, removing unnecessary walls and creating a better flow between work zones. By relocating appliances and adding a dedicated drink and prep area, the design makes everyday cooking easier and entertaining more seamless.

Dark cabinetry in Benjamin Moore Soot anchors the space, paired with soft quartzite counters and warm lighting that bring contrast and depth. A built-in bench under the preserved window adds charm and function, blending historic character with modern rhythm.
