The homeowners loved to entertain but were frustrated by a dated, inefficient layout that made simple tasks complicated. They wanted a kitchen that felt both functional and refined, one that could move effortlessly from daytime family life to evening gatherings. Think crisp and clean by day and cocktail lounge by night.

We reimagined the entire footprint, removing unnecessary walls and creating a better flow between work zones. By relocating appliances and adding a dedicated drink and prep area, the design makes everyday cooking easier and entertaining more seamless.

Dark cabinetry in Benjamin Moore Soot anchors the space, paired with soft quartzite counters and warm lighting that bring contrast and depth. A built-in bench under the preserved window adds charm and function, blending historic character with modern rhythm.
